Although it's not a superbly big event (School mag doesn't even cover it), but to all the uniform bodies whose members are loyal and proud to be one of themselves (Put it simple, if you find yourself proud to be a scout, guide, cadet, etc), it is a SUPERBLY important event.
And yeap. So important to the extend that even after you graduate, you will still go back to school to watch and cheer for your juniors. Maybe excluding me who doesn't have a team to cheer for now thanks to !@#$%^&*. Then why am I back? Er initially was to support ungu deco. But I find myself in a very akward position where:
1. I dunno the juniors, they dunno me (those who can't understand, imagine yourself going back to your primary school and tell the kids "come koko/jiejie help you carry bags" then you understand)
2. I dunno what to do, how to help etc
Ok thats not the point. Today imma talk about marching competition.
Oh ya! I missed scouts formation! They got champion leh! Why miss? I went and look for ungu's hideout. T_T So sad!
And as expected, Police Cadet got 1st for Kawad Biasa again. 7th champion in a row! And scariest still, they got champion since the first year they were FOUNDED and until now they have NEVER LOST the champion title before.
And surprisingly Guide got 2nd for Kawad Biasa,. I thought Scouts gonna get it. Scout also marching elites leh. But that's not the point. I am not in the place to comment cause' I missed Guide's performance too.
I feel so out of place there lo honestly. I got many friends back there but yea, THEY GOT THEIR GROUP. *sigh* But anyways, the reason I love participating in uniform bodies activities is due to the passion that everyone exhibits.
Everyone acts like a family, like seriously. It's a family ACROSS bodies. Like Scouts & Guides support each others' night gathering (campfire), and Cadets are like brothers. And since these few years (or maybe since long time ago only that I can't observe), the bonds between the bodies grew even stronger. I dunno since when it became a tradition for the bodies to act in unision to buy gifts and do performance for retiring teachers. Scouts Guide KRS KP Bomba & BSMM. (And yes, those are the hyperactive uniform bodies in CHS)
Haha. Memories weih! In our year Scouts, KRS and Police heads are all UNGU weih! So proud XD And we used to be a gang of gile ppl. Yi Shiuan, Sui Lun, Siang Sheng, Qi Hui, Brian, me, sometimes Yee Min, Yu Bin, Ai Ginn, Yee Yang, Yao Jie, etc etc. And we used to attend all the activities and gile sial. I rmb we all participated Guides Night Gathering to support Jie Min, and also Siang's Police 5th Anniversary.
Yes la I am usually the ODD one. Like hell the only prefect interested in these stuff. But yea, that's what makes my high school interesting: These bunch of gile friends and all the interesting activities. I really regret for not joining any of these gile active bodies during my high school life. Missed my few years of crazy activities chance. T_T
Anyways enough of dreaming in the past. I shall end this post with a big smile =D Tata!
A scene during prize giving ceremony:
*Champion is: 9th Petaling Scouts Troop!*
SS: Weh YS, why not you lead the shout one? Ex Pres wo! (the 淅沥沥沥沥 one)
YS: Haiyo, don't have kaki. See behind! No leng!
SS: We all here not leng la? (Pointing his police gang)
YS: ._.
*And somehow more and more ppl follow the shout, the next thing I know is*Police + YS + Brian + Me: 淅沥沥沥沥 ,哗啦啦啦啦,公教童军顶呱呱!
Yeap! That's the SPIRIT that I like. ;)
